Executing Resolution

So, part of my 2017 resolution is to read more, and I think I execute that poorly. It is already March 14th and I haven’t finished To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee which I got last year. I don’t know why but this book is a bit difficult for me to read. Maybe I just haven’t got the mood right. Yet.

However, I managed to read four comics/ graphic novels and three young adult’ books—which is good. Despite struggling with works and everything, I managed to read these. Thank god.

One of the books I fell in love with this year is Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs. There are three books in this series; I just finished the first one. I am looking forward to read the second book but I don’t want to rush into things. Reading for the sake of a trend is not a good habit.

Anyway, there was a movie of the same title (directed by Tim Burton) that I watched last year and I had a mixed feeling about the movie. I don’t think it is as good as the book– which is a bit disappointing. I was hoping it would an epic start for a franchise.

Hopefully they’ll manage to pull it off with the sequel (if there is a sequel to begin with).

Anyway, there’s another resolution which is executed poorly as well— writing. I have been putting down my pen (literally and not literally) and I procrastinate, a lot (classic me—I do this a lot). This is one thing I hope to change and it starts now. Wish me luck, guys.
